The bussines of playing games: players as developers and entrepreneurs

Catherine Geeroms (Belgique)

She’s researcher and consultant in Media Literacy. After a degree in Information and Communication at Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL - Belgium), she collaborated as assistant researcher to the coordination of the European Project Mediappro (www.mediappro.org). She was also the coordinator of a Belgian non-profit association which works with young people to media literacy projects (ACMJ). Since September 2007, she coordinates “Games and Education” projects at the Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE) and lead other media projects in collaboration with UCL.
