Film Education has developed a variety of teaching approaches to the use of digital media in the classroom. Our main focus is in training teachers to use digital video within their own subject areas. Our main focus is an annual conference entitled CP3 (see website).
Also, for three years we were one of the coordinators of Cinexchange, a pilot project which linked young people in Lille, Brighton, Brussels and London in a film making exchange, based on the methods outlined in our CP3 approach.
Some References : Three conference documents :
A variety of books on media education.
A variety of study materials on films.
Also a number of award wining interactive CD and DVD ROMS.

“Picasso could paint faces!”
The presentation, illustrated by examples of short films created by both students and teachers, will address the following questions:
Process or product? Craft and/ or creativity ? Who does the work? And what is the ‘work’? A training pedagogy? Key stages in a training pedagogy.Critical and creative.
