"Since 1995 involvement within the film pedagogical area - the last 8 years as film studies director for the film school for the young: Station Next in the Filmtown in Copenhagen. My articles and contributions to different books have not been published in English yet.
I have however presented the pedagogical principles and practice of Station Next at different conferences, World Summits and festivals in: South Africa, Japan, Greece, Brussels, Scandinavia et al."
PRESENTATION OF STATION NEXT
Station Next is a Film School for young people between 13 and 18 years from all of Denmark. It is a non-profit cultural organization which is primarily funded by grants from the Ministry of Culture.
Our main objective is to give young people the tools for expressing themselves through moving images.
– We give the students hands on experiences and make them responsible for their own products
– We use professional filmmakers as teachers/coaches.
– We work in a realistic film environment – the students work in crews as on a professional production
– We place the focus on the final product – this improves the
process
Film studies director Susanne Wad will screen a student production and present the principles of production at Station Next.
